We’ve mentioned before various reporting of book banning, but as of late there’s been a lot of this hitting the news as the U.S. gets closer to the 2022 November elections.

Some recent stories about a book banning in the news right now…

  • “Texans sue their county after books removed from libraries”

  • “Biden criticizes book bans as effort to ‘score political points’”

  • “Tennessee Lawmaker Suggests Burning Banned Books”

  • “Brooklyn Public Library Offers Free eCards to US Teens Facing Book Bans”

For us, this echoes the dystopian realties in Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451.

“There are worse crimes than burning books. One of them is not reading them.” Ray Bradbury.
